A new version of the the all-new Life
Fitness T9e treadmill and the T9i model is now available. Home versions of Life Fitness’ popular health club models, the
new top-of-the-line treadmills provide health club-quality workouts at home. An
industry first, the Life Fitness T9e treadmill is an entertainment-ready home model featuring an
integrated LCD touch-screen console.
"The Life Fitness T9e treadmill and T9i are extremely
durable, boast an outstanding feel and provide motivating workouts designed to
inspire exercisers to reach their fitness goals and enjoy their exercise
regimens," said Bob Quast, senior director, cardiovascular product management
at Life Fitness. “These two exceptional machines for the home deliver health
club-quality performance and many unique Life Fitness features, such as the
FlexDeck shock absorption system, patented Lifepulse digital heart rate
monitoring system and Zone Training+ workouts, making them the ultimate home
treadmills.”
Sophisticated Technology and Unique
Features
Featuring the first LCD touch-screen console integrated into a
home treadmill, the Life Fitness T9e model lets exercisers select and watch live TV programming (coaxial
cable connection required) while they work out. The screen offers TV-quality
video on a large, 12.1-inch viewing area (11 inches by 12 inches), and audio is
accessible with standard headphones. Powered by Intel technology, the
console’s touch-screen controls allow simple navigation among program options
and workout data.
Both the T9i and the Life Fitness T9e boast one of the most
powerful motors on the market, a 4.0 HP AC motor system, and no other treadmill has as many workout
programs that can be personalized and customized – 13 – as the T9i and T9e.
The My Workouts programs allow users to store an industry-high seven of their
favorite workouts with personalized statistics, such as total time, distance and
calories burned, while the Custom Workout programs enable exercisers to create
and save six different workouts so they can be repeated.
The machines are
equipped with 16 pre-programmed workouts, including programs based on goals for
calories burned, distance run or time in a heart rate zone. In addition, the
Life Fitness T9e treadmill and the T9i include digital heart rate monitoring with Lifepulse heart rate
monitoring sensors in the handlebars as well as Polar telemetry heart rate
monitoring (chest strap is included).

With these systems, exercisers can use
several interactive heart rate Zone Training+ workouts in which the treadmills
automatically adjust resistance to maintain specific target heart rates. Like
all Life Fitness treadmills, the T9i and T9e feature the patented FlexDeck shock
absorption system, which reduces impact to lower-body muscles, joints and bones
by nearly 30 percent compared to non-cushioned treadmill surfaces and results in
a more comfortable workout.
Both theT9i and the Life Fitness T9e treadmill also include a large running surface (60
inches by 20 inches) with a prelubricated health club-grade belt and reversible
deck for longer life. Speeds range from 0.5 mph to 12 mph in 0.1 mph increments
and elevations range from 0 percent to 15 percent in 0.1 percent increments. The
console on both treadmills has a reading rack, two integrated accessory trays
and a CD/MP3 player holder strategically placed to minimize interference between
users’ arm swings and headphone wires.

Available now at authorized specialty fitness equipment dealers nationwide,
the T9i has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $5,499 and the Life
Fitness T9e treadmill is
